  • Tip1#
  • If it is your first time painting, I suggest start with a smaller canvas.

  • Tip2#
  • Decide on what you want to paint before you start putting the brush to the board. It’s always a great idea to search the Internet to get an idea of what you would like to paint or if you prefer being spontaneous then that’s also fine, it could result in a ‘Jackson Pollock’ masterpiece.

  • Tip3#
  • If it is your first time painting, I would suggest using Acrylics and not oils to begin. Acrylics are water based so it dries allot quicker and it’s easier to clean your brushes. If you make a mistake in acrylic, it dries fast enough for you to repair it. Oils do take a while to dry and that can become quite frustrating when you want to finish a painting sooner.

  • Tip4#
  • Although Acrylic is water based it doesn’t come out of clothes that easily. I would suggest you wear an old t-shirt or if you don’t have anything that can be ruined, sneak into your partner’s closet, don’t tell them I said this. Hehe.
