Mission 44- Experience Being in a Real Lifeguard Tower

Mission 44- Experience Being in a Real Lifeguard Tower

"Lifeguard houses or towers have been the vital objects found on beaches providing swimmers a safety net should there be any potential drowning or danger lurking."

I’m convinced electronic gizmo gadgets sense urgencies and on purpose shut down just to humour us humanly beings in this advanced technological world! Call it coincidence but everytime I have an emergency or something that urgently needs to get out, the electronics in my life go into super slowdown mode or break. You remember that movie ‘Wall-E’ with the crazy robot thingy that tried to run everything on the spaceship that was super evil, mean and just plain ugly? Maybe there’s one like that running all our gadgets and they see us as an enemy for never keeping them properly charged. I know you shocked... literally!

Each day my portable processor unit starts up fast and normal but as soon as I need to get an urgent mail out or check something on the World Wide Web...blank! It’s like loads of tortoise speed gets injected into its processor chip and the whole rectangular knowledgeable book goes into total power down mode. This morning I tried to print out some important docs I needed and my printer took one look at me rushing and decided this was the very moment to shut down and jam the cartridge and paper at the same time. They don’t like me at all; there should be a movie called Humans Versus Electronics! I might know how to conquer this dilemma over the interference in our busy lives... pretend you are not in a rush! I know... you’re sitting there staring at your pixellated screen pondering how slowing down would make a difference? Well Pacers by slowing down we would actually be fooling the scary robot thingy and all electronics would not malfunction hence us getting things out on time and hence things never breaking. It’s the ultimate genius idea... or not!

Ok I think I need to go take my marshmallows in my hot chocolate now!

Time for another mission and this one is a simple one but can be super dangerous and challenging! Baam baam baam...

Mission 44- Experience Being in a Real Lifeguard Tower

Lifeguard houses or towers have been the vital objects found on beaches providing swimmers a safety net should there be any potential drowning or danger lurking. Lifeguards sit in these towers which are normally built quite high and survey the oceans watching the swimmers and even looking out for sharks.

I’ve seen lifeguard towers in movies and even on some beaches but I’ve never felt what it is like to sit in one and look over the ocean. Let’s call this the little something in my life I’ve wanted to do! So I, Little Miss Mission Impossible am going to find a real lifeguard tower (very ‘Baywatch’) and am going to become a lifeguard for a moment. I won’t be rescuing anyone, I’d rather leave that to the real experts but I will be interviewing a lifeguard to find out what it really takes in being a life saver. I will become... Little MMI Life Girl!

Pace Yourselves!
