Mission 52- Visit Richards Bay and Make a Sand Angel

"Situated almost 2 hours from Durban, Richards Bay is a small bustling town located along the coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Richards Bay is known for its lagoon and largest harbour in South Africa and it’s at this very harbour that my adventure story began"

Bathing a dog can be a very tedious and tiring challenge especially if your best friend companion is about 60kg and still growing!

Do you feel like bathing a dog takes so much energy out of you, that it’s almost like an exercise regime all on its own? Does your dog tend to magnetize itself towards a muddy pit of dirt straight after it’s been scrubbed and washed? Then you need a ‘Doggy Stay There’ playpen!

Imagine a world where dogs remained clean for at least 5 minutes after they were bathed! That’s right folks with the ‘Doggy Stay There’ playpen, not only will your woofing 4 legged friend stay clean and allow the sun to dry their furry coat but provide them with endless entertainment at the same time. The ‘Doggy Stay There’ playpen comes with 4 detachable sides and lots of chewable goodies and toys to keep your dog, a happy dog.

What happens if your dog needs the loo? No fear because with the ‘Doggy Stay There’ playpen, the remote control poop scoop will take care of that unpleasant problem for you! With the ‘Doggy Stay There’ playpen, just open up the plastic door and ‘walla’, your dog is set free in the garden to roam around smelling nice and clean and fresh… tralalaaa! (Don’t think I can use this for a different product?)

I suppose there is always a doggy parlour… ~blush~! Sometimes I wonder which fantasy world I live in…

It is that time of the year again and usually that time could be anytime but I’m making it this time… right now… the present. ~breathe~

Mission 52- Visit Richards Bay and Make a Sand Angel

Situated almost 2 hours from Durban, Richards Bay is a small bustling town located along the coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Richards Bay is known for its lagoon and largest harbour in South Africa and it’s at this very harbour that my adventure story began.

My parents owned a seafood restaurant at the harbour near the yacht club where they were taught how to cook fish from all the various chefs aboard the liners and yachts that would dock and make the harbour their home for a while.

My life consisted of school and after that spending the rest of the days, weekends and holidays exploring the marina and helping tug and pilot boats bring in all the various liners. I made friends with so many people aboard these water vessels and would spend the evenings eating freshly caught fish on the decks of the yachts hearing about sailing and travel stories. This begun a seed that would for me eventually grow into a career inspiring others to create their own similar stories.

I haven’t been back to Richards Bay since I was so young and would love to see how everything has grown and developed over the time. I want to walk on the very wharf I did as a child and just go back to where it all began for me.

To top off my time, I’m going to make my way back to the one beach I loved, Alkantstrand and lay flat on my back and make a sand angel!

Wonder if I could still catch a ride on the dredger?

Until Next Time!
